Tschabalala Self x Greenmount West Power Press Bandana

Tschabalala Self x Greenmount West Power Press Bandana

$20.00

Our latest artist collaboration is with Harlem-born artist Tschabalala Self. Self builds a singular style from the syncretic use of both painting and printmaking to explore ideas about the black female body. The print on this bandana is reminiscent of her piece ‘Two Women,’ which is currently on view at the Baltimore Museum of Art.

This multi-use, special-edition piece works as a bandana, flag, kerchief, mask, wall art etc. When you purchase this bandana, you’re not just getting a dope piece of wearable art. You’re also supporting the work of the Greenmount West Community Center Foundation, an incubator space that develops the greatness and talents of Black youth, families, and seniors in our community.

Proceeds from sales of this bandana will support our latest initiative: Black Women and Girls of Maryland, which seeks to enhance the quality of life and increase opportunities for Black women and girls in Baltimore and beyond.

Screen printed by hand at the Greenmount West Power Press.
